Climate Countdown: how to accelerate decisive action? Perspectives from the aid sector and beyond.

Humanitarium, Geneva | In-person and online
October 21, 2022 | 10:30 – 17:00

About the event

On October 21, the Climate Action Accelerator organised its first ever public event, with over 200 people joining from different sectors and parts of the globe thanks to a hybrid modality (online and in-person)!

In the face of the climate emergency and its devastating consequences, this event aimed to amplify footprint reduction, adaptation and resilience efforts in the aid sector, with cross-sectoral learnings from the health, education and business sectors. Through this event, we were able to strengthen the dynamic around scaling up climate action in the aid sector and build up synergies with other key sectors. This event also allowed for connections between actors, fueling the motivation to gear up and collaborate to make fast progress. We owe a special thanks to those from the health, higher education and business sectors who nurtured this conversation with their own precious experience.
