YMCA Senegal

UCJG/YMCA Senegal is a Christian-inspired youth organisation open to all, without discrimination on the basis of sex, race or religion. Founded on 21 November 1982, it obtained its receipt for declaration as an association in June 1983, and then its approval as an NGO in March 1997. Its mission is: ‘To work for the development of accomplished young people who are responsible in their families, leaders in their generation and involved in their communities’. Its vision is ‘Strengthening the capacities of young people for the African renaissance’.

Through its participation in the second collective cycle of the Climate Action Accelerator in Africa, YMCA Senegal is committed to moving towards a sustainable, resilient and low-carbon development model, while strengthening its action in favour of populations and communities and its capacity to deal with the consequences of global warming.
