About AGORA

AGORA is a public health NGO based in Saint-Louis (northern region of Senegal) working in the fields of nutrition, maternal and child health, the empowerment and protection of women and girls, improving the sexual and reproductive health of young girls, and health promotion.

Based on a participatory approach, its programmes aim to improve people’s health and well-being, particularly that of women, girls and children.

To promote sustainable change in public health, AGORA is always working to develop cost-effective programmes that are needed in the context of scarce resources in Africa. AGORA always work in collaboration with local people and its programmes are based on a participatory approach.

Our partnership

Through its participation in the second collective cycle of the Climate Action Accelerator in Africa, AGORA is committed to moving towards a sustainable, resilient and low-carbon development model, while strengthening its action in favour of populations and communities and its capacity to deal with the consequences of global warming.
