From Knowledge to Action: Climate & Health Partnerships in West Africa

Climate change poses a growing threat to health systems, particularly in vulnerable regions such as West Africa. Strengthening partnerships between climate and health actors is critical to building resilient, low-carbon development pathways that protect both human and planetary health. 

The Planetary Health Alliance West Africa Regional Hub and the Climate Action Accelerator are actively working in West Africa to advance climate and health initiatives. Through partnerships with national and local NGOs, we are promoting knowledge exchange, co-developing context-specific roadmaps, and supporting the implementation of practical, scalable solutions. 

This webinar serves as a platform to share the work of both organisations in the region, highlight innovative partnerships, and inspire greater collaboration toward sustainable, climate-resilient health systems. In particular, it aims to:

• Present the activities and regional engagement of the Planetary Health Alliance West Africa Hub and the Climate Action Accelerator in West Africa. 
• Showcase partnership approaches that drive low-carbon, resilient development in the health and climate sectors. 
• Facilitate knowledge-sharing and dialogue among organisations working at the intersection of climate and health. 
• Inspire new collaborations and action-oriented initiatives in West Africa.
