About Enda ECOPOP

Enda ECOPOP is a non-profit organisation working primarily in the field of democratic governance. Its aim is to support grassroots communities across Africa in achieving their economic, social, environmental, cultural, and political rights, through the development of prosperous, healthy, safe, and welcoming towns and territories.

To this end, Enda ECOPOP organises its work with local authorities and grassroots communities across Africa around five strategic pillars:

  • Pillar 1: Strengthening security, climate change response, resilience, and the attractiveness of territories;
  • Pillar 2: Strengthening democracy, governance, participation, and civic engagement within local authorities;
  • Pillar 3: Supporting employability, entrepreneurship, and the empowerment of young people, women, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups;
  • Pillar 4: Supporting the localisation of public policies and international agendas;
  • Pillar 5: Supporting transition dynamics for sustainable development.

Our partnership

Enda ECOPOP has joined the third collective cycle of the Climate Action Accelerator to accelerate its low-carbon transition and move towards a more sustainable, resilient development model. This cycle provides a collaborative framework to:

  • Better understand and regularly measure the organisation’s environmental footprint (carbon and waste)
  • Identify the most relevant solutions and actions to implement in order to integrate sustainable practices
  • Build an environmental roadmap tailored to its context and challenges
  • Roll out and implement the first concrete solutions, including through support in securing funding

This represents an opportunity for Enda ECOPOP to strengthen its impact while becoming part of a collective drive for innovation and resilience in the face of climate change.
