Caritas Kaolack

Caritas Kaolack is a Christian-affiliated NGO of public interest, established in December 1981. It serves as an instrument of the Church’s social pastoral mission in service of the full advancement of every human being. Its work is guided by the principles of justice, equity, and subsidiarity. It is a member of the Caritas Senegal network. 

Caritas Kaolack has joined the third collective cycle of the Climate Action Accelerator to accelerate its low-carbon transition and move towards a more sustainable, resilient development model. This cycle provides a collaborative framework to:

• Better understand and regularly measure the organisation’s environmental footprint (carbon and waste)
• Identify the most relevant solutions and actions to implement in order to integrate sustainable practices
• Build an environmental roadmap tailored to its context and challenges
• Roll out and implement the first concrete solutions, including through support in securing funding

This represents an opportunity for Caritas Kaolack to strengthen its impact while becoming part of a collective drive for innovation and resilience in the face of climate change.
