About Bangladesh Red Cross (BDRCS)
The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a humanitarian organization and a part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and an auxiliary to the Public Authority of Bangladesh. It supports vulnerable communities across Bangladesh through disaster response, relief, rescue, and rehabilitation during floods, cyclones, and other natural and man-made hazards. BDRCS also works on climate adaptation and resilience-building initiatives, alongside delivering essential health services and emergency medical support. With a strong volunteer network, it mobilizes communities and provides training in first aid, disaster preparedness, and capacity building. BDRCS is committed to reducing human suffering and strengthening resilience nationwide.
