About Pasteur Network
The Pasteur Network (PN) is an alliance of 32 member organizations that plays a crucial role in addressing global health challenges. Its strength lies in its diversity and broad geographic reach, covering 25 countries across 5 continents, forming a community united by shared values and missions for the benefit of populations. This unique combination fosters a dynamic ecosystem of scientific knowledge and expertise that is both locally embedded and globally connected.
Recognized as a WHO non‑state actor, the PN is closely connected to national health systems, with many members working directly with local Ministries of Health. It maintains a global infrastructure of more than 50 national and regional reference laboratories, including several Biosafety Level 3 facilities, as well as 1 WHO Collaborating Centres.
Focused on strengthening collaboration among local and regional actors, the PN fosters collective action, shared resources, and coordinated responses to emerging health and scientific challenges. It is a community driven by common values and missions, locally rooted and globally connected.
