About the webinar
How do we decarbonise humanitarian operations and reduce their environmental footprint? How do we integrate the climate and environmental crisis within a broader organisational approach?
This session is our opportunity to explore these questions and share with you the way the Climate Action Accelerator and ALIMA are tackling them, as the organisation begins the implementation phase of its recent 2020-2030 roadmap. In addition to presenting the key takeaways from ALIMA’s carbon footprint report and the ensuing roadmap, we look forward to a dedicated moment at the end for feedback and dialogue with participants.
The Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) is an annual humanitarian conference, one of the largest events of its kind, that provides a collaborative space for practitioners and experts from a large variety of humanitarian stakeholders including UN agencies, NGOs, the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement, academia, the military, private sector initiatives, and Member States.
The HNPW 2022 was held in a hybrid format from 02 to 20 May 2022 (02-06 May remote, 09-13 May face-to-face at the CICG in Geneva, 16-20 May remote).Download the presentation
The central challenge is about how to reduce radically the footprint of humanitarian organisations while not affecting its core goal of assistance of vulnerable populations.
